As senior vice president and chief of staff to the CEO, Daniel O. Lopez is responsible for ensuring that Strada’s mission, vision, objectives, and strategy are aligned.
Lopez, who joined Strada in May 2019, is focused on driving outcome-based strategies that maximize Strada’s resources to ignite thought leadership, encourage broad coalitions of support, and make life better for more American workers and learners.
Lopez comes to Strada from the Office of Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, where he served as deputy chief-of-staff and chairman of the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet. His responsibilities included management of state operations, policy and legislative activities, messaging and strategic communications, and alignment of statewide workforce efforts under the governor’s jobs agenda.
Previously, Lopez was chief-of-staff to then Lieutenant-Governor Holcomb and held leadership and management roles under U.S. Sen. Dan Coats, Gov. Mike Pence, and Gov. Mitch Daniels. He began in politics and advocacy as co-founder and managing director of a Miami-based political and media consulting firm.
Lopez serves on a variety of nonprofit boards, including Conexus Indiana, the Boy Scouts of Central Indiana, and Leadership Indianapolis.
He earned a master’s degree in sports administration and marketing from Georgia State University and a bachelor of arts in history from Florida International University.
