Thomas C. Dawson serves as Strada Education Network’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer, overseeing the shared services that support the Strada network, including finance, impact evaluation, and information technology. He is also responsible for ensuring that Strada’s affiliates are meeting their impact and financial goals.

Previously, Dawson was vice president, product management, for Laureate Education, where he established partnerships with select nonprofit universities to run online and global education programs. He also has served as a senior policy officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, overseeing grants dedicated to helping low-income students complete college.

Earlier in his career, Dawson worked in several capacities — including deputy assistant secretary for postsecondary education — at the U.S. Department of Education.

Dawson graduated from Claremont McKenna College with honors degrees in government and economics and also serves on the boards of St. Richard’s Episcopal School and the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership.
